How to Submit a Takedown Request

We will not process requests that only contain images of copyrighted material. Your request must be a formal written notification.

Required Format for Takedown Request

To be effective, the notification must be a written communication that includes the following:

1. Contact Information:

  • Full legal name, phone number, and mailing address of the person submitting the request.

  • If you are acting as a representative of a company, please provide the company's name, phone number, and address.

2. Proof of Ownership:

Sufficient evidence to prove that you are the copyright holder or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner. This may include:

  • A link to the official website where your copyrighted work is legally hosted or published (note: links to "free" web hosting services are not sufficient).

  • A U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) registration number or other verifiable proof of ownership.

3. Identification of the Infringing Material:

  • The exact and complete URL(s) of the content you are requesting to be removed.

  • Please Note: We will ignore requests to remove entire search categories or search keywords, as keywords are not subject to copyright. Claims regarding the use of a registered trademark are not typically handled as copyright infringement and should be addressed separately. Our system processes requests automatically; if exact URLs are not provided, your request will be disregarded.

4. Required Legal Statements:

The following statements must be included in your request:

  • "I have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted materials described above as allegedly infringing is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."

  • "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."
